A high-position dump car is a large-scale mechanical device used for dumping bulk materials from rail vehicles. It is primarily designed to enhance the efficiency of bulk material unloading and reduce labor costs. High-position dump cars are widely used in coal mines, mainly for transferring coal from mine cars into self-unloading trucks or other transport equipment via side-loading. They can be deployed both aboveground and underground in coal mines, efficiently unloading coal or gangue while saving on labor and infrastructure investment. In addition, high-position dump cars are also suitable for industries such as metallurgy, chemical engineering, and building materials, where they are used to unload materials like ores, waste residues, chemical raw materials, and construction materials from mining sites. The working principle of a high-position dump car involves using a flipping cylinder to drive an arm around its pivot axis, causing the mine car to tilt at a specific angle—typically between 135° and 145°—to achieve the desired unloading effect. As the arm approaches the end of its rotation, a reset cylinder provides cushioning support. After unloading, the reset cylinder pushes the arm past the dead-center position, after which the flipping cylinder retracts, allowing the arm to return to its original upright position.
